Ernst Office Manager/Title Clerk

Our team seeks an accomplished manager who is interested in a career and not just a one to two-year stay. We are a family-owned and operated dealership with an engaged Dealer Principal.

Responsibilities:

Manage and motivate all office personnel

Oversee the accuracy of recording the sale, profit and commissions payable on all sold units

Ensure proper billing of all new and pre-owned car deals

Bill all new/pre-owned car deals and post into accounting and to sales log

Insure the accounting records are maintained in an orderly, current and accurate condition at all times.

Insure that all Company policies are communicated and followed.

Ensures compliance with all government regulations.

Prepare reconciliation of all dealership balance sheet accounts

Review schedules in the dealership every month and make necessary corrections.

Prepares for periodic meetings with the department managers, owner, and marketing department.

Prepares tax and title documents on a timely basis

Prepares titles for Auction and works with local Auctions to acquire titles when necessary

Responsible for securing all dealership vehicle titles and MSOs

Compiles and sorts documents; such title work and finance contracts

Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed

Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures

Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections

Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Outstanding written, verbal and presentation-based communication skills.

Organized and focused. Must be detail oriented.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Must be familiar with all aspects of automotive retail dealerships; especially in the administrative and accounting departments

Experience with dealership management computer systems (Dealer Track preferred) preferred, but not necessary.

Very strong computer skills, particularly with Excel and the Microsoft office suite.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment with the ability to lead and influence others in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Consistent and stable work history

Must be able to operate equipment such as (but not limited to) overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission jack, air conditioner machine, differential pump, hand tools, radiator machine, transmission machine, tire rotation equipment, and computer.

Lube Technician Duties:

Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.

•Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections.

•Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.

•Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.

•Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

•Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.

•Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
